jarjums life museum

Jarjums Life Museum is a process that is designed for the jarjums, their families, Elders and their community to work closely with professional artists to create unique, contemporary and personal pop up museums. The museums created by the jarjums document the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children – their here and now and what life is like growing up today.
— Jane Jennison, Inala Wangarra

Developed by Inala Wangarra in collaboration with the Out of the Box Festival, in 2016 Jarjums Life Museum worked with two communities - the coastal mob of Minjerribah - North Stradbroke Island and the urban mob of Hymba Yumba Community Hub.
